Quality Control Team Lead
The Role:
As a Shift QC Team Leader with Leading Manufacturing organisation, you have a very important role to play in the Company’s commitment to quality and efficiency in Quality Control operations.
This is a key position, which involves supervision and accountability for the operation of an assigned group on a shift basis within the QC Department. The primary responsibility of the QC Team Leader is to ensure that finished goods are tested on a timely basis and in accordance with the shipping schedule and production requirements.
The QC Team Leader must demonstrate strong planning and organisational abilities as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They must have a good knowledge of Quality Control and GMP. Other key attributes include good problem solving and leadership skills.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
· To supervise the activities of one of the 2 QC groups ensuring release of finished products and to meet the KPI’s.
· To organize, delegate and co-ordinate the daily workload for the assigned QC group.
· To liase with the QC Supervisor on the disposition of materials not meeting specifications.
· To bring to the attention immediately of the QC Supervisor and QC Manager any critical deficiencies.
· Assist in carrying out performance appraisals with the QC Supervisor
· To provide support and assistance to the QC Supervisor
· To ensure company targets are met in areas of responsibility
· Maintain comprehensive record of own work
· Troubleshoot methods as required for your laboratory group.
· Review and approve analytical paperwork
· To perform operations in compliance with GMP requirements.
· Assist in the trending of data and preparation of the Annual Product Reviews.
· Assist in the documentation of specifications, test methods and QC procedures.
· To participate in the development and review of current procedures in order to rationalise testing in the QC Arena.
· Attain specific targets agreed with QC Supervisor.
· Ensuring laboratory supplies are monitored and ordered as necessary.
· Ensure all training and assessment is recorded and signed for on each individual Training Record for the analysts in the QC Laboratory
· To adhere fully to all safety policies, procedures and regulations issued by organisation.
· To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner and any relevant company or environmental legislation is adhered to
· To complete Accident report in a timely manner after an event
