Theatretrain is a part-time performing arts school for young people aged 6 to 18. Each week the children attend the 3 hour session where highly qualified and enthusiastic teachers train them in drama, dance and singing in comfortable, well equipped premises, usually a local school.
As well as the weekly lessons, each year the centres come together to perform in spectacular large scale performances in venues such as The O2, Royal Albert Hall and other high profile theatres.
Theatretrain was founded 1992 and has over 90 successful centres in the UK and Ireland. We have built a reputation as an exciting and profitable way to build a new future. Theatretrain is now offering opportunities to entrepreneurs throughout Ireland to open their own centres in the following locations
• Dublin (South)
• Dublin (South West)
• Dublin (North County)
• Belfast City
• Galway City
• Cork
• Limerick
• Kildare
• Meath
• Louth
• Waterford
It is a part time business where many of our franchisees run their own part time theatre schools combining it with a full time career. In other words it is a part time commitment with a school operating for only three hours per week, usually on a Saturday; a lucrative extra form of income. Many others often decide to open a second or third franchise and reap the financial rewards.
Costs: You pay an initial franchise fee of €5000 + VAT .
Every centre then pays 12.5% of its gross income to Theatretrain. For this we offer you:
• The Theatretrain name
• Teaching curriculum updated annually
• Your own exclusive territory of between 45,000 and 50,000 people
• Full use of the patrons endorsement
• As many of the Theatretrain full colour prospectuses as you require
• 10,000 colour fliers plus ongoing access to discounted printing
• Full training programme
• The Theatretrain 54 page operations manual
• Ongoing support and mentoring
• Frequent Large-scale shows often in the West-End
• Disc with everything needed to operate your centre
(i.e. headed paper, introductory letters, application forms, editorials, adverts etc…)
• Assistance with finding a suitable venue, interviewing staff, publicity campaign
• On going staff and management training
• Assistance in marketing your new centre
• Many opportunities to meet with other franchisees
We do not expect you to do all the work by yourself. Our experience of opening and developing centres since 1992 has given us an understanding of problems and their solutions. We will work with you to get your centre up and running and we are only a phone call away for help if it is needed. Our commitment is to assist you in making your Theatretrain school a success.
