Ploerdut is a pretty village in central Brittany with butcher, baker, restaurant, newsagent, bars, creperie, petrol station, garage, farm shop, chemist, hairdresser, doctor, post office etc. Some English residents but mostly French; a very friendly place. It has been easy to integrate into the community. There is an excellent primary school here & a brand new creche has just opened for babies & toddlers. The village is situated just off the D1 7km west of Guemene-sur Scorff, midway between the larger towns of Pontivy & Gourin.
