Group Manager for a Large Bank
GROUP MANAGER
Our client a leading Global Financial Institution wishes to recruit a Group Manager for their office based in Dublin City Centre. The chosen candidate must have knowledge of funds and have been in a managerial position for at least 3-4 years.

Job Descriptions
The GM ensures that service is provided in line with client service level agreements and regulatory requirements, and is in accordance with agreed operating procedures. This service must be delivered in a cost efficient manner in a tightly controlled environment, which ensures exposure to operating risk is minimized. Strong technical knowledge, proficient accounting and analytical skills, demonstrated ability to think strategically, and high focus on controls and risk mitigation are mandatory.
The GM is required to lead and manage a team of operations managers, assistant managers, supervisors and fund administration staff. This role includes the ability to mentor and develop personnel, to motivate, to provide direction and constructive feedback, to set job objectives, to monitor work in progress, to ensure staff receive appropriate training and are adequately skilled to successfully perform the work responsibilities assigned to them. Strong leadership and team management skills are required.
The GM is responsible for ensuring preparation of timely and accurate MIS and management reports related to the GM’s book of business. The GM is responsible for keeping the HFA and/or the Management Committee informed in a timely manner of all relevant issues related the GM’s clients, service thereto, and staff.

Client/Fund Servicing
The GM has overall responsibility for ensuring ongoing delivery of high quality service levels to a group of global investment management clients. The GM must ensure strong operational and management control of accounting, valuation and general administration for a complex range of fund structures.
The GM must pro-actively assess client requirements. The GM must manage business issues firmly and constructively while developing and maintaining good client relations.

Key Job Characteristics
Business Knowledge
The GM must have a detailed technical knowledge of complex fund structures including Irish UCITS and non-UCITS, the regulation of these vehicles, investment management methods and fund accounting / valuation methods including net asset value calculation, income distribution / equalisation, performance fee calculation methods and compliance monitoring.
Management Skills
The GM must have very strong management skills related to operations, leadership, strategy and projects. The GM must have strong client relationship management skills and have a strong service quality work ethic.
Relevant Experience & Qualifications
The GM must have a number of years relevant experience in the investment funds business and hold a degree from an accredited college or university; an accounting qualification is beneficial.
