Volunteer Project Manager for Unique Prototype Green Renovation
There is an opportunity for a volunteer Project Manager to gain 8 weeks work experience on a prototype Green renovation model outlined below.
Volunteer Food and Bus transport sponsored by Beshoff Bros
The prototype iPositiveNow Home Green Renovation, a new initiative focused on sustainable living. Bernice Maria Paolozzi, internationally acclaimed futurist entrepreneur, and recipient of a Special Judges Award at this year’s Ethnic Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, is currently creating a sustainable prototype eco renovation model for transforming an ordinary 3 bedroom terraced house in Portmarnock, currently with a G energy rating into a B1 rating, fully energy efficient home. This has never been achieved or documented in Ireland before and it will be a beacon flagship prototype project.
This initiative is driven by Bernice Maria Paolozzi and Dr Edward Group III (www.ghchealth.com) who is doing a similar mission statement project in USA, with the mission statement "You Are What You Eat so You Are The Environment You Live In".
All materials will be focused on high Eco Green accredited standards. It is believed that much can be gained from an application of sound design and build principles coupled with a coherent multi disciplinary team approach.
The intention is that a flexible prototype eco renovation model will emerge from this that can be applied to other situations, scales and budgets, for the benefit of many.
An impressive team has been assembled including Michael Rice and Fiona Carroll as architects, a green expert, Insulation specialists, an interior green designer from Dun Laoghaire College of Art & Design, a computer graphics engineer, a thermal imaging specialist, a green grant specialist, BER Specialist, green landscape gardener and the team is growing.
A media team of students from Griffith Media College, IADT, Digital Hub, Rathmines College and Dublin Business School are running a Major PR and media campaign that will include radio interviews, press and magazine coverage as well as an independent film documentary. The iPositiveNow Blog, BlogTalk Radio and YouTube sections can be accessed through the website www.bernicepaolozzi.eu.
The appointed Volunteer Project Manager will be fully accredited for their work with access to the documentary footage.
