Overview
Buy.com, the Internet Superstore, is expanding into Germany and we’re building the team necessary to make it a success. Buy.com trades with a significant number of technology vendors and major distribution partners. Because of our virtual stock business model, the Buy.com team needs to master these relationships and ensure we are working with the right selection of partners on the right terms.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Lead to manage and develop these key relationships. He/she will develop existing vendor partnerships, maximise profitability, and attain the company’s revenue and market-share goals. Similarly, the successful candidate will be responsible for: defining pricing, securing market-leading promotions, competitive analysis, and winning marketing support from vendors. Ultimately the Business Lead will be responsible for all local forecasting and for achieving P&L targets.
Experience, qualifications, and requirements
•3-5 years in consumer electronics/computer hardware with retailer, distributor or vendor
•Extensive contacts among CE/Comp vendors and distributors in Germany
•Fluent in German and English
•Significant negotiation experience
•Excellent communicator and presenter
•CE enthusiast who stays up to date with emerging technologies and brands
•Excellent forecasting, budgeting and analytical skills
•Has previously managed €50million P&L
•Self motivated, willing to work remotely, and driven to achieve goals
•Willing to travel up to 30% of the time
