Stone cottage in Brittany available for self-catering holiday lets. (€250 pw)
Set in the surrounds of the beautiful Morbihan region, this stone cottage is the ideal base from which to explore the lush Breton countryside. The cottage is in a small hamlet close to Guemene-sur-Scorff. Downstairs there are three bedrooms (1 with double bed and doors opening onto the garden, 1 with two singles and 1 with bunk beds) and a bathroom (with washing machine). The upstairs is comprised of a large open living/dining area and a well-equipped kitchen. There is also a garden with lawn, garden furniture and a barbeque as well as woodlands nearby. All linen is provided.
This is the ideal place to enjoy treks and walks in the countryside or simply to relax in the peace and tranquility. There are several surrounding villages, with fantastic bakeries, creperies and churches. The Medieval town of Pontivy is a 20mins drive away, with excellent restaurants and shops as well as the famous Château des Rohan. There are also several large supermarkets located there. The southern coast and Golfe du Morbihan area are only a 50mins drive away; here you’ll also find the market town of Vannes, with its stalls and food halls and a quaint old town to explore. Other places of interest such as Lorient, Josselin, Carnac, Auray and Quiberon are equally accessible.
There are all sorts of activities to hand such as: Hiking, Trekking, Fishing, Water sports, Golf, strolls in the countryside/forest or at the coast, Sailing, Sporting activities and Horse riding to name a few.
The cottage is approximately 2hrs drive from the main ports of Roscoff and Saint-Malo. It is also only a 1hr drive from Lorient airport (if flying from Ireland) or reachable within 2hrs from Brest and Dinard Airports from the U.K.
Weekly rentals start on Saturdays (although there may be some flexibility, so please ask).For shorter lets, the minimum booking is 3 nights.
