Hi all, I am a 50-something woman originally from Ireland and hoping to return there to settle in a year or two. I have family in the North but want to explore other areas to live. Shamefully, my knowledge of Ireland is poor, so I was hoping to get reponses from anyone who could point me towards the best areas, not the touristy bits necessarily, just places where there's a good mix of cultures, classes etc . I would like to find a semi-rural location where I can grow veg, keep a few chickens, etc but which isn't too far away from a lively town. I like walking and hiking in the countryside and by the coast. I am 'spiritual' and bookish, green politically, like going to gigs, plays etc and taking part in community stuff. I'm hoping to attract like-minded people, perhaps to strike up an e-friendship or just to get tips on which areas are good/not so good. Don't mind what age you are or what your circumstances are, as long as you are have want to correspond in the spirit of friendship. Looking forward to an overflowing in-box. Namaste.
